आज भारत के अनन्य मार्क्सवादी दार्शनिक प्रो. देवी प्रसाद चट्टोपाध्याय का 24वाँ स्मृति दिवस है । प्राचीन भारतीय दर्शन पर प्रो. चट्टोपाध्याय का काम न केवल विपुल था, बल्कि मौलिक और महान था । ज़रूरी है कि उनकी सभी रचनाएँ हिन्दी और सभी भारतीय भाषाओं में अनूदित होकर आम पाठकों तक पहुँचें। अभी यह काम बहुत कम हुआ है और विशेषकर आज के पुनरुत्थानवादी, धार्मिक कट्टरपंथ के उभार के समय में यह बेहद ज़रूरी है ।
